Vice President, Artificial Intelligence (AI)

We are seeking a Vice President of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to lead our AI strategy, delivery, and innovation. This is a senior leadership role for someone who combines deep technical credibility, thoughtful people leadership, and a strong sense of responsibility in how AI is applied. 

What You'll Do

  • Shape and lead Nikaxu’s AI vision, strategy, and technical direction  

  • Ensure our AI solutions remain practical, competitive, and grounded in real operational needs  

  • Act as Lead AI Scientist on complex, high-impact customer projects  

  • Own and evolve AI delivery practices, tools, and standards across the company  

  • Guide research, development, and deployment of advanced AI and ML solutions  

  • Ensure AI systems are secure, scalable, ethical, and production-ready  

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing AI team  

  • Work closely with engineering, product, sales, and leadership teams  

  • Support client and sales conversations with clear, credible AI expertise  

  • Represent Nikaxu’s AI capability with partners, clients, and industry stakeholders  

About You

You’re an experienced AI leader who is comfortable operating at the intersection of strategy, research, engineering, and people leadership. You enjoy solving complex problems, value clarity, and believe AI should be deployed responsibly.​

You Bring:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a closely related field

  • Extensive experience in applied AI, machine learning, or data science

  • Strong track record delivering AI systems into production environments

  • Leadership experience at director, head-of, or VP level

  • Hands-on familiarity with modern ML, deep learning, and LLM techniques

  • Understanding of AI ethics, governance, and responsible AI practices

  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex ideas clearly

  • Curiosity, humility, and comfort working in evolving environments

Experience in maritime, logistics, infrastructure, or other complex operational environments is considered a strong asset.
