Jussi Niemi and Vladyslav Sokol join Canada's delegation through the Canadian Technology Accelerator: Smart Ports program

Nikaxu attends SMM Hamburg and ALL ABOUT PORTS, September 1–4, as part of Canada's delegation through the Canadian Technology Accelerator: Smart Ports program. Nikaxu joins the Canadian Maritime Industries Pavilion, organized by the Association of British Columbia Defence and Marine Industries (ABCDMI) in partnership with OTCNS, ACOA, and Global Affairs Canada.

Jussi Niemi and Vladyslav Sokol are on the ground for both events: SMM Hamburg at Hall B6, Stand 141, and ALL ABOUT PORTS at Hall H, Stand 209. At the stand, the team is running a demonstration of Nikaxu's predictive maintenance system. The economics explain why this is the lead demo. A single unplanned failure on a ship-to-shore crane disrupts vessel turnaround, yard flow, and gate operations at the same time, and one incident can run into hundreds of thousands of dollars. Across a fleet of cranes operating year-round, that cost compounds fast. Most ports already collect the sensor data needed to catch the warning signs. What's usually missing is a process that acts on those signals before the failure, and that's what the demo walks through.

Ahead of the show, several operators have specifically asked about an AI service agent for technical knowledge retrieval and about crew scheduling, so both are on the agenda at the stand alongside predictive maintenance. The same applies to any other maintenance, scheduling, or operational data problem worth solving.
